My G5 OS 10 leopard printer utility doesn't see the HP 1200 driver that I loaded.

My G5 OS 10 leopard printer utility doesn't see the HP 1200 driver that I loaded.

I loaded the driver and I can see the components in the main and user printer libraries, but it does not show up in the printer utility when adding a printer.

I also have another G5, same system software and it works fine. It says Bonjour as the connection on this one.

Which tab should it show up in to add the printer? The options are Default Printer, Ip Printing, Printers.

Do I need to reload the system software?

Please help!

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.

Any devices that previously appeared in your Printer List and Fax List will need to be added again after resetting the printing system.
