Phone and iTunes are up to date versions but the phone is in a loop and itunes cant see it while in extracting mode.

My Iphone 3GS hangs up with the USB cable pic pointing to iTunes and wont do anything else, then restarts with apple logo and does the same thing again. Was working fine till i was told by 02 network to restore phone via itunes for settings for internet.
