Re Cannot drag & drop mp4 files to iTunes library

It used to work perfectly until today when i can no longer drag & drop files to my iTunes library. I've tried clicking "add file to library" and even tried dragging the file to the device on the left sidebar (it will highlight but will not be copied nor dragged there), still won't work. Pls help! So frustrating!
