Why Safari stored passwords don't sync with iCloud?

Hello! My new iMac synced with my iCloud account perfectly - got all bookmarkd from iCloud and some settings.

But for some reasons my passwords stored for some pages in Safari didn't sync.

I have to re-enter them for almost any page protected with passwrd.

Am I doing something wrong or is it intended to be like this?

Isn't it a kind of stupid having to manually enter password on every your device even if they are connected to the same iCloud account?

It there any way to share saved passwords on my account on the another machine?

There's at least one third-party application ("Keychain2Go") that purports to do what you want. I don't know how well it works.
