Default Music Folder in OS X and Itunes?
Can I make the contents of the default Music folder on Mac automatically go into iTunes?

The "default Music folder" is for iTunes. iTunes creates all its folders in the /Home/Music/ folder, so I'm not sure I understand what you are asking.
Sorry, I'm new to this Mac business. if you go into 'Finder', on the left, there is a link for the Music folder. I have put all my music files in there. What I want to know is if there is a way to set it so that any time I add music to that folder, it will automatically appear in itunes?
What you should be doing is putting the music directly into iTunes. There is a folder hierarchy to learn:
Music folder
iTunes folder
iTunes Media folder
Automatically Add to iTunes
Mobile Applications
Music
Books
Movies
Podcasts
If you drop new iTunes files into the first folder they will automatically be loaded into the iTunes Library.
You can drag the Automatically Add to iTunes folder to the left sidebar in a Finder window (or create a shortcut/alias on the desktop) and put songs there.
This will move them into iTunes folder and add them to iTunes library.
will this change the way the files are stored (i.e put them into folders like iTunes secondary music folder?)
They should be in whatever order you have them, but I can't really be sure because iTunes has its own organization rules.
Many thanks
