I have a tmobile z10, with s/w ver. 10.0.10.85. I have an icloud account and was able to add the accounts for contacts and calendar and it was working fine until this weekend as well. I noticed that a number of calendar items that were added on icloud over the weekend didn't sync.

I deleted my icloud calendar account on the Z10, and re-loaded it, and after the z10 gives me the "saving and verifying your calendar settings" spinning circle, it says "Youar account icloud - xxx@xxx cannot be authenticated with your service provider. Please make sure that the account settings are correct.

I did log on the icloud website and my login and password are working.

I just spent an hour with Tmobile trying to get this resolved. First to a tmobile agent, then a tech at blackberry, then a z10 support, who finally connected me to an outsourced Blackberry person, who was not helpful at all and kept trying to get me to delete my icloud email account (which I don't sync on the BB). Finally he had me delete all my icloud accounts, including contacts and reload my icloud account info. When we did that, the z10 successfully added the contacts in icloud, but did not load the calendar, saying something to the effect that the server could not be reached and I should try again later.

So it seems there is a problem with the icloud caldav server at apple and this is not a BB issue? Anyone else having this problem?

Not sure about TMobile or Verizon, but AT&T just pushed out an update to the BB Q10 that re-establishes sync between the BB and iCloud --- it all seemed to sync up properly for me ONE TIME, but has not made any correct updates between contacts and calendars since that initial sync -- i.e., it does one initial sync, and then doesn't update from that point on. Sorry BB Q10, as much as I love your form factor and keyboard, that was enough.

Just bought a Blackberry Q10 and had similar problems setting up my iCloud account. I followed all the steps described on the offical BB page.

However after some hours I solved the problem. Thanks to:

--------------------------------------------------

I used the IMAP mail set up funktion from the advanced menu.

*Username - is your Apple ID but without the ending: @icloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com (so if your Apple ID is example@me.com it's supposed to read only "example")

*E-mail address - is your actual Apple ID (example@me.com)

*Password - is your Apple ID password

*Server address - mail.me.com worked for me, but i guess you can also use mail.icloud.com if your apple ID ends with @iCloud.com

*Port - 993

*SMTP username - is the same as your *Username, so your Apple ID but without the ending: @icloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com (so if your Apple ID is example@me.com it's supposed to read only "example")

*SMTP server address - smtp.me.com worked in my case i think you can also use smtp.icloud.com if your apple ID ends with @icloud.com

*SMTP password - is your Apple ID password

Now comes the tricky part!

*SMTP-Port - it says now 25 but i was actually sure i typed in 587 before i registered the account, so you might try both!

*SMTP encryption - set to StartTLS (SSL would not work for me!!)

--------------------------------------------------

Hope this was helpfull guys.

Cheers!

Problem Solved! Finally I also got the calandar and contacts to synch with the following preferences!

-------------------

Select CalDAV from the advanced menu as described on the offial BB site (link post above).

*Username - your icloud e-mail address i.g. example@icloud.com

*E-mail address - your icloud e-mail address (same as above) example@icloud.com

*Password - is your Apple ID password

here comes the tricky part:

*Serveraddress - https://p03-caldav.icloud.com:443(just entering caldav.icloud.com, as described on the offical BB site did not work for me!!)

-------------------

For Contacts (CardDAV) I had the same settings as for the Calendar (CalDAV) seen above, but changed the *Serveraddress to contacts.icloud.com

-------------------

Again hope this was helpfull guys.

Cheers!

IMPORTANT NOTE on CalDAV:

Some people got messages like: the CalDAV server does not respond or your account data might have changed and simply theiCloud CalDAV settings that worked previously stoped workingand theircalendar was out of sync! I think apple recently changed the serveraddress for caldav for your iCloud.

SO WITH DIFFERENT Apple IDs the *Serveraddress mentioned above CHANGES.

(basicly the *Serveraddress could be for instance https://p04-caldav.icloud.com:443 or
https://p05-caldav.icloud.com:443 etc. depending on which server your iCloud calendar data is saved.)

-------------------

Here is my work around to find out what is your *Serveraddress. Type in the following:

*Username - your icloud e-mail address i.g. example@icloud.com

*E-mail address - your icloud e-mail address (same as above) example@icloud.com

*Password - is your Apple ID password

*Serveraddress - caldav.icloud.com

Now you press enter and try to register your account.

Now very important, you will get an error saying somthing like the server p(and a two digit number like 03, 04, 05, etc.)-caldav.icloud.com is not responding or your account data might have changed.

Now you should know what your *Serveraddress is and change the settings to https://p(with your two digit number inserted here)-caldav.icloud.com:443

(so for instance if your error said: server p04-caldav.icloud.com did not respond or your account data might have changed the *Serveraddress should be https://p04-caldav.icloud.com:443 for you!)

You then hit enter and schould be able to register your calendar iCloud account. Your iCloud calendar should be in sync now!

Hope this is helpfull.

Cheers!
