Doesn't give a choice only insert credit cards details but I don't have a NZ one

To use an existing Apple ID...
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...
Oh the US iTunes you can put none when prompt in fill in credit card dets then use gift cards

The None option is not available in all Countries...

If you follow the instructions on this page for creating a new account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) then you should be able to get the 'none' option on the payments screen : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 e.g. select a free app in the store and click on 'create Apple id' when 'buying' it
Hi try your info not having much luck always asks for credit card
You are trying to create a new account when following those instructions, not updating an existing one ?
I logged out of my existing account and found a free app in the app store on my computer's iTunes. I then clicked on the 'free' button underneath it
Clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup that I got
Accepted the terms, filled in my details, and on the payment details I got the 'none' option as shown on my previous reply.
Is that how you created the account ?
