May 16, 2013 4:25 AM in response to Baby Boomer (USofA)by mznrc,Hi thanks for your reply.
The problem is everytime I insert the proper DVD, I'm prompted to restart my system in order to initialize installation process.
Strangely enough, when I restart either of the two following outcome will occur: the dvd ejects itself during the boot up process, or the dvd remains inside the system, but the current installation of mac boots up.
I've tried pressing down C as instructed on the surface of the dvd and nothing prompts. I also have the DVD drive selected for Startup Disc.
What should I do?

May 18, 2013 10:16 AM in response to Baby Boomer (USofA)by mznrc,My friend you are right. I was using the wrong hardware disc belonging to earlier imac model. The late 2009 Mac shipped with snow leopard , not leopard. It's solved now and you've saved me SO MUCH TIME!
Thanks again!!
