canon digital IXUS 70 for mac

Hi All,

I have recently joined the Mac community from Windows...am loving it but I need to be able to download my pictures and short videos from my canon digital IXUS 70 and am unsure of a safe programme to download from the net....any suggestions please?

iPhooto if you use it - it shpould automatically open and allow import - or Image capture if you do not use iPhoto - set it as the program to use in the iPhoto pfeferences
