in my messages the icons at the bottom of the list are no longer there i.e. trash, etc. how can I get them back
In my list of messages, I used to have icons at the bottom i.e. trash, etc. but they have disappeared. Can I get these back?

If you're missing buttons that should appear but are missing, I would first try forcing the involved app to close:
iOS: Force an app to close

If that fails to resolve things, try restarting your phone:
