I don't know the reason but after last firewire's update for 10.8.3 and reboot i can't connect to my second mac with 10.6.8 by thunderbold -> firewire 8 pin cable using DHCP by defould and with manual address to. please check this and fix, thank you!
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
computers can't find each other in finder. but if I use thunderbold ethernet I can connect.
