how to work with iMovie???

Can I use iMovie to edit my videos using my MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.1), Video Production??? I'm using my HP Pavilion, Windows 7, g6t-2000 Notebook PC 64-bit for my recordings, then using my SanDisc 32GB Flash Drive to move my videos from computer to computer.

I have no idea about all that Windows stuff. Why are you using two different systems when one would do?

Are the videos in an iMovie compatible format?
