Junk Mail from Yahoo Showing Up in my Inbox on iPhone

I have had this issue plague me for a couple years now and I think it's time to ask the community if there is any recourse. I have my Yahoo account in mail on my iPhone and every day now I see junk mail in it. When I go to Yahoo to check the settings, I am finding the message is indeed in the junk mail folder and should not have been sent to my phone. It is almost as if there is a small lag time in which my phone checks for new emails and Yahoo sends the message into the junk folder, but not all junk emails make it to my phone. Anyone know how to fix this?

I cannot tell if this is the right answer or not. It is true that Yahoo is the only email address I have that exhibits this phenomena, yet it is also the only account that I get junk mail on because I use it exclusively as my junk email. Surely i can't be the only person who is experiencing this. Again, I have to point to the fact that when I go to Yahoo, the junk email in question is, in fact, in the correct junk mail folder and I have seen it disappear if I wait long enough from my iPhone. As I typed this, the email has gone from my inbox to my junk folder on my iPhone. This is not a problem with Yahoo.

Actually, it is a problem with Yahoo. Their system is taking time to filter the spam. When you wait and see it disappear on your phone, that means their spam filters finally got around to going through your inbox and dealing with the junk and syncing the changes out. Yahoo's push works just fine for alerting you to new email. Not so much for changes once the messages are in your inbox.

Yahoo is awful. Bad enough that I dumped them years ago.
