To connect a computer that hasn't got the HDMI port, you have to buy a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, that you will connect to the Thunderbolt port of your MacBook, and a HDMI cable.

There are some Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters available. Read > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241 After connecting the HDMI cable to the adapter and your TV, image will start being shown in your TV
