Q: Im trying to update my Ipod 4th

each time it says "ipod update server could not be contacted" what do I do? it is version 4.3.3 im trying to update it to verison 6.0.1. im also using a dell computer with windows.

Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

I tryed the first and the second one. How do toy change the DNS i read the links but i dont know how to change the DNS
