How do I disable mirroring to VGA display on iPhone 5?

Hello, I need to display Keynote and videos to VGA in class without displaying desktop, passwords, etc. from my iPhone 5. Is there any way to disable the default mirroring when using Apple's Lightening to VGA Adapter? Thanks!
