I have a 3rd generation iPad and I wish to use it with my Apple TV 5.2.1 software. I am being advised to select "Home share" in my iTunes setting, but I am unable to find that function when I open my iTunes app on my iPad.
Any suggestion?

Home-sharing is used to access your main iTunes library, not your iPad. To stream contents from your iPad you use airplay.
