My hard-drive is filled with invisible space...

I recently deleted my iTunes library to reinstall a fresh copy from another Mac but when I went to copy it...it said that there wasn't enough room. When I checked my hard-drive it said there was over 100GB free but from further inpsection there is only 30GB free...I pressume this invisible space is from my old iTunes...how do I find it and delete it...no program I have tried says there is anything on there and yet my OS says there is

“You may notice a difference in available space statistics between Disk Utility, Finder, and Get Info inspectors. This is expected and can be safely ignored. The Finder displays the available space on the disk without accounting for the local snapshots, because local snapshots will surrender their disk space if needed."
