ical is freezing

Hi,

I just migrated the contents of my 2008 MBP to a brand new iMAC - everything is working well, but my iCal has frozen. It is adding new events (eg. if someone sends me an invite) but it won't let me do anything and just "barks" back when i try to input something. I've quit the app multiple times, and restarted my computer but this doesn't help. I've also searched for the caches and preferences in order to trash them, but they actually aren't there.
Thanks for any help - my iCal is indispensible!

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

caninoz,

Paste this text ~/Library into the Finder>Go>Go to Folder...window and select "Go."

Then open the Calendars Folder and move any any files with "Cache" listed in the name field to your Desktop.

Next open the Preferences Folder and move the com.apple.iCal.plist file to the Desktop.

Log out/in or restart, and open Calendar.

Thanks so much for trying to help -

I took the steps you recommended, but my ical is still not working properly. Essentially it opens on the correct page, others can invitations and it accepts them, but everytime I try to do something/ click on something it makes the "bloop" sound indicating that it's just not going to interact with me in any way.

Any other suggestions? Thanks again!
