How to Disable Tabs from always coming on in Apple Safari?

Did you install any add-ons? Some do come on automatically - also take a look at the Safari Preferences > Tabs and see if "automatically" is checked. And, reset Safari to wipe out any cache/history, etc (that makes it remember things - resetting it will make it start from "scratch").

Is your home page set to Google in Safari's preferences? If it is, does the same thing happen when you close all windows before quitting Safari?

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

If you've isolated the cause to that extension and you want to keep using it, you'll have to refer to its developer for support. I don't use it myself.

I don't think Apple can do anything about it (there are too many different extensions that they wouldn't be able to do anything about it) - I think it's the 1 password people that need to tweak their stuff. So, if that's what it is and it keeps opening up, send them an email and tell them that it's a bug and that it shouldn't be doing that. Or maybe they can tell you how to avoid it if that is possible. I don't use it either - as a last thought: is there any preference you can turn on/off on that extension?
