I am able to play songs using Windows Media Player, but itunes won't play the songs or import them properly.
I have done this many times in the past, I can't figure out what is wrong? Please help. thanks

thanks, but I did all that already, including running all the diagnostics, and everything checked out fine
but still getting "Not Available" on the songs when I import or drag them over from the CD to the library
Well, then rip the CD using Windows Media Player, then follow through this:
Adding music and other content to iTunes - Support - Apple
iTunes should still convert the songs into the correct format, doesn't support WMA or WMO
