Q: Can I mute incoming calls and still use as a voice recorder

I need to take notes during meetings and would like to use an iphone as a voice recorder as a back up as well as taking written minutes. Can I put the iphone into a silent mode so that the meeting is not disturbed if I get a call or SMS but still be able to use the voice recorder? I would like to be able to press record at the start of the meeting and just leave it running for the duration.

Also, if I fully charge the battery before, will the iphone keep recording for 1.5 hours?

And.. what is the best voice recording app for meetings and lectures/talks?

Hey

It sounds like you're looking for airplane mode, which disables the wireless features of your iPhone while still allowing you to use other applications. You can read more about it here:

Also, the iPhone comes with an application called Voice Memos that lets you use iPhone as a portable recording device. You can read more about it on Page 105 of the iPhone user guide here:
