No help from the Help item on the menubar, and nothing useful in the package contents.
Apple claims it is supporting this product!

Here is some info; from the info below, Apple appears to be a participant in the project; not sure where you read that it is supported by Apple.

With Mountain Lion, Apple seems to eliminating its dedicated support for the X11 application, instead redirecting users to the open source XQuartz project, which it will continue to support.
There's got to be a config file somewhere - it's been 20 yrs since I did a .xconfig file and at that time it was a nasty job. But there's no help, no man pages that i can find for either x11 or xquartz, nothing in Library, nothing in the package contents.
where is xquartz help?
