May 17, 2013 8:57 PM in response to holly02wby vmares,is it in a case, or any protection?, are you using you touch screen pen (stylus)...
- The touchscreen will not work with a standard pen or stylus. The touchscreen does not detect movement when you use these, and they can scratch or damage the touchscreen.
- Do not wear gloves while using the touchscreen. Do not use the touchscreen with wet hands or immediately after applying hand lotion. Moisture affects touchscreen behavior in the same manner as it affects a trackpad.
- Protective plastic sheets or films applied to the touchscreen may block the signal and prevent the touchscreen from working properly.
if not I would back up (Article: HT4946) your device, and then close all running apps (Article: HT5137), if you have done so, then reset all settings (Article: HT2110), and see if it works after wards, if not..... then restore (Article: HT1414)... dont worry you already completed a backup, so you are good to go. If that still fails or is unsuccessful, then visit a apple retail store, dont forget to setup a apt.
hope that helps.
