I have a Core Duo 32bit system. Is there anyway to upgrade to a 64bit?

It seems I jumped on the new Intel based Minis too soon. I have upgraded all that I can...that I know at least. I have 10.6.8. An Intel, but its only Core Duo. I wanted to buy some apps, but it seems they all require 64bit!!!...at least the ones I have looked at. Is there any way that I can replace a 32bit system to a 64bit without actually buying a completely new system?! 😐

Mac mini (Early 2006), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

I'm sorry, but you have to keep that processor if you don't want a new Mac. That's because if you replace the processor, you have to replace the whole logic board, being an expensive DIY. Apart from that, you have to find a logic board for your Mac mini model with a Intel Core 2 Duo, and you won't probably find it
