There is something VERY wrong with my iPod touch 4g

Hello! I had my iPod touch 4g for a long time now, one time I rebooted it but still it has never turned on, this happened to me before but I got it back, tried again,can't get it on. I tried to put it on recovery mode but it says the battery died, but when I charge it it turns on automatically but when I try to it just reboots and still gets stuck on the apple logo.😠

Is there anyway I can get it back on?
