Q: When trying to set up data for my iPad I get the error message "you have an invalid sim, enter new sim" how do I get that fixed?

I'm trying to set up my iPad for the data plan, but I get the error message that I've entered a wrong sim, and asked to enter a new one. I didn't enter a sim and not sure why its not picking up my sim on my iPad.

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.4

    Try this:


    Make sure IOS is updated to latest version

    Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.

     

    If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings  (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').

    (no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).

     

    No/invalid sim
