Why is God not automatically capitalized when auto cap and auto correction are both on?

God is not capitalized on my phone, unless it is the first word of a sentence. However, if YOU have capitalized it in several messages, iOS will remember your preference.

Apple doesn't dictate religion. You will have to set that up yourself via a Shortcut in Settings. You will have to work out for yourself the ethical and moral implications of delegating expressions of your faith to technology.

In some contexts it is not appropriate to capitalize the word god. I would rather that it allow me to determine which is appropriate for my context. Also keep in mind that there are some in this world who do not believe in a single almighty being, and to try to force that concept on them is rather presumptuous.
