5th Gen Ipod Shuffle Battery Issue

So i just recently purchased a 5th gen ipod shuffle, but im having a major issue with the battery.

The first day i took it to work, it was fine. Used it for 6 hours or so and the battery was at 75% (so the voiceover said). I charged it, then I took it in the next day, and it wouldn't even turn on, so i charged it when i got home on the computer. Through the night, I plugged the cord into the usb wall adapter i got with my ipad.

Took it into work and after a couple hours, it said that the battery was low, but was still working. Tried it again a few hours later, and it wouldn't even turn on. Tried it again 20 minutes later, and it worked, and had 75% charge

It can get fairly warm at my work, but nothing above 76 fahrenheit (the max recommended operating temp). Do I have a faulty ipod? or is this a well known issue?

Thanks,
Blaine

Hi kissfandemon,

I understand that you are having battery-life issues with your iPod shuffle 4th Generation. For information on charging the battery and extending battery life, please see the following:

Charging

iPod shuffle fast-charges the battery to 80-percent capacity in 2 hours. However, it can take 4 hours to fully recharge the battery.

If the above does not seem to resolve your issue, please refer to the following guideline:

Thanks,
