My ipad is fully charged at 10%? PLEASE HELP

It wont charge anymore and it has the plug picture on the battery :( help!
iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3
O switched off the ipad and charger then it worked and charged :)
But this keeps on happening 2 times a week
Help :(
