Q: Newbie question: How do I record a radio program which I have routed through my computer with Logic Studio?

Have mercy on me.

I just bought a copy of Logic Studio and am trying to figure out how to use it to record a radio program, or for that matter, a vinyl LP that I want to digitize.

Routing the signal into the MacBookPro is not the problem, what I can't figure out is how to do basic editing functions like slicing a track up into songs, applying equalization, then saving as a new file.  I had used Peak LE for many years, alas, they have gone out of business and my version of Peak isnt compatible with my newer MacBookPro.

How do I record?  What do I edit it with?  Equalization?
