Camera is not functioning

My iphone camera is not functioning and showing closed lenses, I have restarted the iphone, cleaned the lense and nothing had been resolved. What shall I do?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

The iPhone includes a one year warranty. Make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

If none of this resolves the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.
