iPod Nano 7th gen Vs Nike+ Running

I use the iPhone's Nike+ running to keep track of my sessions, have been given a 7th gen Nano which would be much much better than the iPhone to carry whilst running but the built in running app doesn't seem to sync the sessions like the iPhone does (I use two different ones and they sync via my Nike+ account which this Nano doesn't seem to do), any trick to sync them all or I better keep using the iPhone?
