Hello Josh,
I was researching what may be causing you to not be able to access the iTunes store, and found a couple of articles that may help you out. The first is an article named Can't connect to the iTunes Store found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368. There are steps to try depending on the Operating System you are running.
Also there is a more Advanced troubleshooting article called iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297 that may also help.
And if you havent already, a great troubleshooting set of steps would be to restart the computer, router and/or modem then retest.
All the best,
Sterling

Thanks, in one of the links you provided it talks about proxy settings. I haven't altered mine, and I'm not the sort of person to start altering complex settings on my computer. However, a Google Chrome extension had taken the liberty of doing it for me. So, to anyone using PC and Chrome who reads this, you may find you need to remove extensions, then go to advanced internet settings and untick use proxy. It's buried in the advance settings panel somewhere.
Great information! Thank YOU for the update 🙂
Cheers
Hi, I came across this this thread after getting the same error code as the original poster, except in my case, it only happens in the case of one specific podcast - other podcasts I subscribe to download just fine. In this case, could it be something on the podcaster's end?
Thanks!
