If I bought an app in my Mackbook, how can I transfer it to my iPhone 4S, without buying it again?

I have already had this issue before, but still no solution.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3

    The Mac uses OS X and the iPhone uses iOS. They are different operating systems that use different apps, so you have to buy the app for your iPhone if you have it for your Mac. That's the only way of getting an app you have on the Mac into your iPhone.

     

    If you have purchased an app for the iPhone in the Mac and you want to transfer it, you already have it in your Mac, so connect your iPhone to the computer and sync it with iTunes. Another way is to download it to your iPhone > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519

    I still do not understand how to transfer my App (Day One) that was bought on my 2008 macbook, to my iphone 4s

    First, did you purchase the application in the App Store or the Mac App Store? If you purchased it in the Mac App Store, buy it again for the iPhone.

     

    If you purchased it in the App Store, on the iPhone, open App Store > Updates > Purchased, and download this app from there

    Did you purchase Day One in iTunes App store? These are apps for iPhone.

    Or did you purchase it in the Mac App store (from the Apple menu)? These are apps only for your computer.

     

    Day One is available for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch and also for the Mac. They are completely different apps and you must purchase both to use it on your computer and on your iPhone.

    OMG!!! THANKYOU MENDE1 AND CHRIS CA.

    I was a little bit stubborn, because I thought that if I bought my app on my mac I can automatically transfer it to my Iphone only because I bought it. THANK YOU VERY MUCHH!

    You can do it, but you have to activate Automatic Downloads > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4539
