Q: Fixed-layout image overflow
Hi,
I am creating an animated ePub and on one page I want an image to scroll up from the bottom of the page on load (I am not using iBooks Author). My page is 1900x1470 and my CSS initially positions the image at 0px x 1470px (so it is off page), I then use CCS 3D transform to take the image to 0px, 0px. The animation works fine but the problem I see is that when you turn to this particular page on the ipad for a second you see a partial display of the image at the bottom of the screen (with the page resized) before the animation starts and then the true effect takes place.
I think this is because iBooks is trying to display the image on page turn and resizes the display to try and show the image that I actually wanted positioned off-screen to begin with. I tried overflow:hidden property in CSS but so far I just see the same problem (although it is quite possible I have the overflow applied incorrectly).
Has anyone else accomplished anything similar or is anyone facing the same issue?
Steve
P.S I do not have the css/html handy at present but will try to post later.
