I have updated to mountain lion and the Phaser 780 no longer works? It just says timed ou, can any one help?

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3), Printing problems
The site below probably offers a driver for that older printer that will solve the problem:
As far as I can tell, that printer uses postscript. The only piece of a driver you need is the PPD file that tells the printing system about the specs of the printer.
You should be able to print by selecting Generic postscript as driver. Try that for troubleshooting.
Lots of people find that they need to delete and re-add the printer, or Reset Printing System, to get printing to work after upgrading.
