Hello tkmallick,

This may be related to using a mobile account's credentials. Remote Desktop will require a local user's credentials to authenticate.

Remote Desktop: Unable to authenticate with Mobile Users

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3906

Symptoms

When adding a computer in Remote Desktop, a mobile user account's name and password may not authenticate.

Resolution

Authenticate using a local user's name and password instead.

Additional Information

This is expected behavior when using a mobile account.

Cheers,

Allen
