Early 2008 Macbook Pro running Lion?

Is it possible to use internet recovery for a early Macbook Pro running OS X.7.5? I have an issue where I need to repair disk and have not been able to create a recovery disk.

Those models don't have Internet Recovery, but you should be able to hold command r and boot into Recovery HD

If you can't do this, then phone a friend with a 10.7, Mac and copy their Recovery HD to a USB thumb drive which will boot your Mac.
