will the new windows 8 work on the mac?
I would like to know if windows8 will work on the Imac, and if there any known problems in doing this or would windows 7 be a better option?

Windows 8 is compatible with 2010 and newer computers. To make sure, check in this site that your computer is compatible > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634
It works correctly on the Mac, so you can install it. However, if you don't want to learn a new interface, Windows 7 is better. Also, for some users, it might be more stable than Windows 8, that was released recently
