stop icloud from downloading to pc

I have an iPad that I download tv shows to, as well as a laptop pc using win7 and itunes. when i purchase new anything on itunes, it wants to download all purchases that i made on the ipad to the itunes acct on the pc. Im using 3rd world wifi (SLOWWW) and dont want to download everything. Right now I have about 20 items I dont want and each time i order a new show, the original 20+ shows start downloading again (after spending enornous amounts of time deleting them). Any ideas?
