Safari opening Ruby file on startup

My Macbook running 10.6.8 recently started opening this file in Safari on startup.

file:///System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/gems/ 1.8/doc/activesupport-2.3.5/rdoc/classes/ActiveSupport/CoreExtensions/Date/Conve rsions.src/M000558.html

Any ideas how to stop this?

Hi Metro Man!

I have an article for you that I believe will help you solve your question. The article is about login items in OS X Mountain Lion, but the steps are still relevant for your operating system. That article can be found here:

OS X Mountain Lion: Open items automatically when you log in

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11177

For your convenience, I've pulled out the relevant part of the article and echoed it right here:

Permanently prevent an item from opening automatically when you log in

  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Users & Groups.
  2. Select your user account, and then click Login Items.
  3. Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically at login.
  4. Click Delete ( - ) below the list on the right.

Hope that helps. Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

Cheers,
