My Macbook running 10.6.8 recently started opening this file in Safari on startup.

Any ideas how to stop this?

For your convenience, I've pulled out the relevant part of the article and echoed it right here:
Permanently prevent an item from opening automatically when you log in
- Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Users & Groups.
- Select your user account, and then click Login Items.
- Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically at login.
- Click Delete ( - ) below the list on the right.

Thanks so much for your help. I don't know what I may have done that would have caused this file to get marked. I recently had iCal open a LibreOffice document for me at aa scheduled time, and I installed a couple of new apps. I might try to duplicate the problem.
