whenever I open iphoto it freezes my macbook

Hi Bobwilt81,


If you are having an issue with iPhoto causing your Macbook to freeze, I would first try to isolate the issue by testing in a new user, as outlined in the following article:

If the issue persists in the new user, you may want to follow up with the one application troubleshooting in this article:

If it appears instead that the issue is specific to your user files (i.e. issue does not persist in the new user), you may want to try rebuilding your iPhoto library (make sure you have a current backup first):
