I keep getting a pop up box. It says deimos3.apple.com:80. Next it says password will be sent in the clear. It has lines for username then password. The box then has ok and cancel buttons. Anyone know what is causing this? Apps will not update.

I keep getting a pop up box. It says deimos3.apple.com:80. Next it says password will be sent in the clear. It has lines for username then password. The box then has ok and cancel buttons. Anyone know what is causing this? Apps will not update.

I have tried to update apps already on the phone. I select update all. The apps box adds the

Empty line to show progress and next to app it shows installing. It never starts installing.

I then get a pop up window that says. deimos3.apple.com:80

Then the phrase password will be sent in the clear.

Next boxes for username and password. The bottom of box has

Cancel and ok box. Has anyone ever had this issue if so what was the fix?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.4

Did you ever figure this problem out? I am guessing it is related to iTunes U. Started happening to me after I tried to download some free iTunes U lessons out of the University of Minnesota.

Finally got this cleared up (will post if it reappears).

I checked for waiting downloads in the iTunes App (purple icon) on device. Sure enough, there was a stuck download. Deleting that item (swipe to delete) seems to have gotten downloads working again and (hopefully) banished the message.
