Outlook 2011 for Mac

Hi I realise this may or may not be the right place to ask this question but as (from what I've been googling) it seems primarily an Apple/Outlook problem I figured it was worth a shot.

Basically, I'm using Outlook 2011 for Mac with an account that uses IMAP folders and occasionally (totally at random from what i can tell) when I drag an email or a rule moves it into one of the IMAP folders it disappears once i've read it. Its not moved to deleted items its gone, poof, totally vanished.

I've checked all the IMAP settings and there is nothing i can tell that is making this do this and cannot find an answer anywhere.

I have restored databases, re-installed outlook and it still does it and I'm loosing emails left right and centre.

Any help will be really appreciated, thanks in advance.
