Stickies disappeared?

I want the stickies widget on my dashboard. But I can't add it. When I click the add button there is no option to add stickies. Please help. When I install a 3rd party stickies widget. e.g an 'add sticky' button, it doesn't do anything. Please help!

Hi,

The Widgets I have are in the Hard Drive/Library/Widgets

I have Stickies in there as a default item.

If you had it before and use Time Machine for backups then you could go to this folder and launch Time Machine and see if it used to be there.

HI,

I wouldn't be able to do that.

I do see that I have several older widgets such as one called LeopardTricks - so it is possible the Stickies one comes from an earlier OS.

I have a Stickies app in Applications as well.
