scan error

I've acquired the Canon MG6350 printer.

With my PC I am able to scan starting from the printer and send it to the PC.

However, the printer does not recognize the Imac, thus enabling me to send from the printer to Imac.

The other way around, going into the printermenu on the Imac and going via the 'scan' option, returns a "scan error".

How to resolve this?

Have you downloaded the latest drivers from Apple's support pages?

Have you tried using Image Capture in the Applications folder - does that enable scanning?


Also, sometimes resetting the printing system and starting over helps solve scanning problems. All printers will be deleted and need to be added again:
