Forced to archive mail?

New to iPhone. (4s)


I have received email--including SPAM--that only has an ARCHIVE button (no trash can.)


Why?


How do I trash these emails?

To disable the feature:

You can disable this feature in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Gmail Account > Archive Messages:
