I went to Apps/Utilities/System Profiler/USB and do not see camera listed. Based on an earlier found on Support Communities info, I tried shutting down, holding control-option-command and power button, letting go, then powering on again. No luck. Any ideas appreciated.

Was your MBP plugged in to the charger when you did the SMC reset (which is actually Shift + control + option + power button, off the top of my head)?
Hi--yes, I meant shift/control/option/power button. And yes, it was plugged in. I don't know if it actually reset or not--I don't know how to tell--I held down the keys, let up the keys, restarted. Did this twice. Nothing changed re the camera.....

To fix your iSight, shut down computer. Reboot in safe mode (press power button and then hold shift key down). After computer boots, restart again. Hopefully, your iSight will start working again.
If the SMC reset was done successfully, the light on the MagSafe charger should change colors briefly from orange to green and back.
Nope. Tried the Shift+power button idea and another couple stabs at Shift+control+option+power button option and still getting camera with line thru it icon in PhotoBooth. Darn.
My camera/iSight is apparently disabled--can't use Skype or Photo Booth. How can I fix this?
