Help! My Macbook won't connect to the wifi when in clam mode.

When I hook up my Macbook to an external screen and close the macbook to enter clam mode, it won't connect to the wifi.

It states that it is connected to the internet on airport utility but safari won't work and says its not connected to the internet. Bluetooth, and everything else works fine. When I have the macbook open and connected to the external screen, the internet works normally. What going on?

My macbook is a late 2008 13' aluminum body running on Lion.

Please help!

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Hi LittleMissyKitty,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

For troubleshooting on this, take a look at this article:

Troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues in OS X Lion and Mac OS X v10.6

Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. If your computer works fine when connected to a different Wi-Fi network, then the issue may be related to your network router or ISP.

Hope this helps,

Mario
